A personal illustration created in 2014, inspired by the charm and simplicity of the mid-century Little Golden Book era. Using a limited color palette and digital gouache brush techniques, I focused on capturing a storybook cover feel with soft textures and playful character design.
This piece has become one of my most recognizable works and remains a personal favorite. It is now featured in the SCHEELS Eden Prairie store’s Rollerball game as a regional nod to the classic Midwestern tale of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox, looking right at home on a weathered vintage brick mural.
